>>14185045QRD on John:
Was initially a follower of John the Baptist, then at the Baptist's special declaration of Jesus, followed Jesus and became as good of a friend as one could with the wisest teacher. Then, everyone is killed, except John who went on to live a long life, long enough to see the effects of Jesus spread like the mustard seed parable was unwrapping in front of him. He decides to write his gospel in order to clear up that it was Jesus, not John the Baptist, that was the Christ, and also why he was living so long and how he now sees what he did not so many years prior-- but ends up writing the most beautiful words ever to be put down on paper. Words that can take the angriest defeated man and calm him down and make him see the good path was clear for him if he would only take it.
