something i thought about
what if anthros suddenly became real? let's say, overnight, 50 000 000 anthros just appear all over the world. this would be enough for them to be recognized. how would humanity treat them? since they have human intelligence, it is safe to assume that they would not be treated as regular animals. but here's the thing. there would be an uncertain amount of time where they aren't protected by law. they are not human, so no human rights. they are not animals, so no animal protection laws either. would eventually the definition of human be updated to include anthros, or will anthros have their own definition and then be included in law?
i think it be most likely that the definition of human would simply just be updated to include anthro, because that would be less work.
