Modern gravity theories tell us that matter attracts matter.
At the Earth's center, where all matter surrounds you, the gravitational pull goes outwards towards all of Earth's mass, rather than towards the center of earth.
Basically, at center of earth the only gravity pulls you upwards towards the surface... So it should be hollow as the dirt is pulled outwards by gravity.
If there were a spherical void in the center of the earth, a person in it could walk on the inside of its walls, and gravity would pull them to the "ground" that they experience
