>>14215888Interesting, I was reading and Spain consistently mogged the fuck out of literally every other EU country (except maybe portugal) for expats. I'm a physicist and mathematician so job prospects usually tip in my favor as is but still not enthused about what I've been hearing economically.
I just want to live somewhere where 1. people are friendly, 2. work life balance is good, 3. in decent proximity to nature 4. and art, and 5. people create interesting/valuable things (innovative/creative projects that actually matter). Probably won't be able to find all 5 anywhere, but in the US where I am people are kind of insufferable (especially about politics, yuck), the cities are utterly unwalkable and there is very little nature to be seen if you don't have a car (less metropolis more concrete jungle), and work life balance is fucking SHIT. To its credit, there is an okay amount of local art where I am, kind of a hippie-ish part of my town, and we do produce a lot of innovation, but that's basically it. Surely I can do better than 2 out of 5
