They have a low population and their culture is peaceful and their ethnicity is very homogoenous. It's way easier for you to make a sad family happy than to make a sad town a happy town. Same goes for from town to country. It's way easier to make a group of people happier when they share teh same culture when they share ethnicity. People are scared of gene manipulation because of how it would make them and everyone on earth currently potentially obsolete. Not really the same I would say

That happens when they have so much power control corporations etc. They also influence goverments. Remember when George soros crashed the south east asian economies?
