but emilia does more to help subaru improve than rem unironically by rejecting him when he spergs out. but she doesn't really reject him, just leaves and basically asks him to stop being insane and as soon as he does she is very happy that she had a positive impact, whereas rem is completely mentally ill and orbits subaru for practically no reason
