I read fantasy manga for the worldbuilding too! Have you read Akatsuki no Yona, Dungeon Meshi or Sousou no Frieren, Dorohedoro maybe? You have surely read Berserk, too
I watch and read lots of genres, but almost never shounen, with the exception of Gintama. I also don't like music anime.
My favourite for the past season was Mushoku Tensei btw

all of those besides Akatsuki no Yona were on my "to-read" list. ESPECIALLY Dungeon Meshi. Don't read a lot of manga on LNs tho, so the reading list is pretty long. And surprisingly no, I haven't read Berserk yet. I don't wanna start either because with the author having passed I'll get really disappointed when I reach the end.
And I'll watch nearly anything except slice of life. That shit's for nerds without friends.
Favorite anime of last season is honestly tied for me between Mushoku Tensei, Saihate no Paladin, and Ousama Ranking. The latter is SUPER slept on, it's genuinely top of this year.

It's genuinely really compelling. Not Monogatari like at all, it's more of a political drama with great worldbuilding than anything. Give it a try. As for Paladin anime, I don't know if the manga was better because I haven't read it. Even though my French friend shilled it pretty heavily and he's known for having alright taste.

Well, I'll try watching it again sometime soon.
Also, back to Berserk: you should definitely read it, you won't be disappointed at all. Just skip the prototype chapter, because they spoil a lot. Are you reading on MangaDex on Tachiyomi?
Also check out Otoyomegatari, Ryuu to Yuusha to Haitatsunin, and Ride-On King
The last one may be silly but I was surprised by the accuracy of armour and overall detailed artstyle.
You MUST read Ryuu to Yuusha to Haitatsunin, it's so good...

I don't think Otoyomegatari would appeal to me, romances generally aren't my thing. Ryuu to Yuusha to Haitatsunin sounds really fucking neat and I'll definitely check that out, and Ride-On King sounds real funny and cool.
Anything with Otoyomegatari that I'm missing at first glance that'd make me like it? Maybe it has an interesting setting or premise?

In Dungeon Meshi it's kinda focused on. In Sousou no Frieren they are almost extinct, there's literally less than a 100 at best!
