hi everyone happy new year. noob with a question about web dev vernacular.
do actual web developers etc refer to [code:lit]div > img[title][/code:lit] as a selector pattern or just a selector?
i checked the w3c latest recommended standards document (
https://www.w3.org/TR/selectors-3/#selector-syntax) and they say the latter but i've also seen some other resources online refer to it as a selector pattern.
also do people say "type selector" (also the recommended w3 vernacular) or "element selector"?
i know the actual code matters most but i also want to be able to articulate things professionally too.
