It's not like the subsequent wars in the middle east really amounted to anything. There's no great democracy in the middle east now is there because of the wars. It's all just a bit lukewarm and the Taliban are back (though if you trust their propaganda, a more refined version of the Taliban) so what did war achieve?
Those who were against going into the middle east were right at the end of the day.
