But I have some hope that good days will come back, when the intelligent people start distancing themselves from social media platforms like discord or twitter, like I already did
We did go steps backward, we still live in the aftermath of the cultural damage the shilling of discord on 4chan caused. There are many demagogues that work to produce libel against anonymous bulletin platforms, whether it be the notion that content can be supposedly found more efficiently elsewhere, or that 4chan is supposedly a platform only used by whatever boogeyman the US elites currently have since 4chan got into their visier. What we need is our own demagoguery. We need to promote imageboards, they are a good platform, anonymity is a bonus and even if you disregard the anonymity the lack of file compression and the ephemeral structure of the boards are also a big bonus. We also need more rhetorics against the competition of imageboards. We speak of Twitter, Discord and Reddit as the main problems. They are bad platforms that anyone intelligent should avoid using, yet we still find many people using them because that is where everyone is and it has the reputation of being the place to be.
