Anime was useful as a propaganda tool and way to regain aesthetic clarity, but it is certainly too eastern in character. True Westerners need to develop there own art style, that is just as beautiful, though much more close to home and realistic. I think it is much more appealing to show the the male form in its true natural form rather than a toned down one.
