I saw what I THINK was a ghost today an its seriously messing with my world view because I dont believe in ghosts and so I still dont quite know how to process the experience.

Worst part is it sounds made up and stereotypical, imagine seeing a person made of dark smoke or solid shadow - I could see through the person, yet they had a shape, I'd say it was approx 60% opaque, like a real person you'd made part transparent in Photoshop but it wasnt 2D, it was actual fucking 3D, I could see its depth as well as its outline. No real details I can remember but I could see enough to see a clear outline, arms, face, etc. I'd saw it was male, adult, quite tall - maybe 5,11". Just walked right past me like it was on a mission

It kept a perfect form and walked right past me, didnt seem to see me at all or break its stride, its body shape kept perfect form, didnt dissipate like actual smoke. I feel stupid saying the next part because it sounds like I am making it up but it look like it had a hood on, not like a hoody, more like a cloak. Except, it didnt look period, historical, looked more other world.

It was twilight at the time - around 5pm. I live in an old house (17th century) with large grounds, no near neighbours and very rural and remote, I was just finishing up some gardening and about to come in and looked up because I thought my missus was walking past and realised what I had just seen. I stood there with my mouth open for 5 minutes. Didnt feel scared at all, was more like wonder and a stunned feeling. Only about 30 mins later when I was coming to terms with what I had just seen did I start to feel creeped out.

No idea what I saw, I have never had a hallucination in my life, not even when I tried mushrooms as a teen. I dont ever drink and dont do drugs. I know what I saw but I have no idea whether it was a ghost, alien, multi-dimensional thing.

Anybody seen a thing like this?
