You know that the rocket is drifting aimlessly in space with no hope of touching down on the moon, but monkey brain is in celebratory "Mission Accomplished" mode.
Unfortunately, after a lot of "launches", monkey brain decides that it doesn't need to maintain the launchpad with all the theoretically successful landings it's had, so you start showing your age more and look less attractive when you do actually try to aim for the moon.
