Art is a strange science. Often, intentional attempts at making art are derided as not being artistic, while accidental art is lauded and praised. I think this has lead to a lot of artists flooding the field with garbage in a desperate attempt at bottling lightning or striking gold, much like how most fields of science are absolutely flooded with garbage papers and essay.
