But in honesty? I feel I'm more energetic and able to stay focused to do real work in my 30s than I could ever have done in my 20s, and I actually enjoy the job I've got now. Education-wise I've gone from being a barely over minimum-wage "assistant manager" making hourly wage to being able to fix my credit and begin investments within a couple years.
Honestly the only thing I wish I'd done differently is putting aside just a tiny amount of money monthly from the beginning. Everything else, there's time for it.
That's the thing right there, man... it only takes a couple years of concerted effort. If you think you're ready for it, dive in and fix yourself. I wasn't ready even a few years ago so I couldn't get it done.
Point is, you're not in bad shape until you're almost to retirement age and still in bad shape.
