I got reminded of it today at work.
I had to meet with two visitors, one was an Italian woman, born in the Aosta Valley, pure Italian blood, blue eyes, etc. The other was a man who was 1/4 jewish and 3/4 chinese. His paternal grandfather was jewish and his other 3 grandparents were chinese. So his last name was steinberg but he looked mostly chinese.
And we got along great. Telling jokes and laughing and telling stories about where we were from and shit. The whole time in the back of my head I was thinking of the mutt meme because of the races involved, and it made me think how disconnected from reality the mutt thing is. People arent dogs. It made me wonder what the mutt meme posters would do if they were stuck in a room with these people. Would they like the italian girl more because she was pure and he was a jewish chinese mutt? He was funny and polite and couldnt be more pleasant.
