Close friend of Alanis, I know that no one will ever believe me so I might as well share. Alanis has been battling breast cancer in secret for the past few years. She beat it a couple of times and we've been lucky to have her with us for as long as we have.

It's true that she was recently boosted and I just wanted to make sure that no crazy conspiracy theories got started, she had no negative reaction to the booster. She does, however, have metastatic stage 4 breast cancer.

Alanis was very pleased to be able to retain the ability to breastfeed after previously beating the disease and has been very out in the open about that. Alanis has been largely focused on spending as much time as possible with her children for the past few years and has certainly made the most of the time.

Her condition has sadly gone downhill in recent weeks and her family has been called in. I thought it would be nice if we could share our memories of hearing her music for the first time and how it's played a role in our lives, I know it's played a role in mine...
