I am sympathetic to russia's grievances, there was zero reason to expand nato other than for the simple fact that we could. I don't believe invading other countries to be the solution but I doubt that's going to happen anyway. Personally at this point I would try to invite russia into nato but that's a pipe dream. If we can be allied with countries like saudi arabia there's no reason we can't be friends with Russia. They're not communist anymore so it's not like we have conflicting ideologies. However it's far too late for that as Putin and friends only see us as permanent enemies for what we've done.
