What did you end up getting? How does a person figure out what type of wine they like the best?
I've been grabbing random bottles to try and see if one sticks out but I'm just unlucky.

I just bought some cheap one because the convenience store didn't have anything fancy
When it comes to tasting wine it's all about figuring out which variety do you like the most (I prefer syrah and primitivo)
If you want to easily figure out which one is for you you can always visit your local wine cellar and do some tasting there (although that might cost you some money)
There's this nice italian near me who runs a wine shop and you can also order a single glass of any kind because he has special device that allows him to pour from a bottle without opening it
I can always ask him what he recommends and he always provides me something cool allowing tasting a single sip of the kinds he recommends for free
When it comes to which country has the best wine imo it's georgia, bulgaria and moldavia
I'm not a big fan of german red wine however their white wine is the best

I feel like an idiot since I have basically no knowledge about wine at all, heck even the types of grapes caught me off guard, why didn't i think of that?
I'll have to clear out a day b4 I can go to a winecellar but it will be a nice time since my brah is also interested in wine (he also got me into it as well).
The italian sounds so cool, he must really like his job and getting to hear about other people's thoughts on specific variants of wine, I'm jealous.
Could I possibly get your top 5 or so picks when it comes to wine? I'll try them out on my off days when I can relax.

desu I don't remember names of the ones I drink (as a said I mostly care about varieties) and I don't know which ones will be available to you but I'll list some from the top of my head that is not very expensive and easy to find in any store
Also please note that I mostly drink red dry wine so it might not be to your liking if you're not experienced
Monastyr Pastoral - Moldavian Sweet wine nice to drink when eating desserts
Liebfraumilch - German, my go to when it comes to white wine, quite nice to drink when you're eating poultry although I've noticed that depending where you buy it the taste is different
Primitivo di Puglia - Italian, best primitivo that you can buy in supermarkets imo, this one the most approachable when it comes to dry wines
Lisboa - A mixture of 3 kinds, it's surprisingly good considering its very low price
Don't buy anything from the Tijo kind it's trash imo
