I'm just referring to threads that could be found on /qa/ several years ago where a bunch of people in their thirties chilled and shot the breeze about what 4chan and the rest of the Internet was like when they were young. To the extent younger posters appeared in those threads, they typically did so to ask questions about the highly mythologized "olden times" they weren't personally around for, and they generally behaved and were received cordially. You are describing something closer to the /b/ "oldfag" threads, which I have already specifically clarified were totally different in tone from this era of /qa/.
If it's really that hard for you to believe this was going on on /qa/ for a little bit several years ago and you want to keep saying, "Nah, it was probably not how you're imagining it, it must have been more like this instead," that's fine, though, there's probably not much I can do to change your mind.
