It has some good moments in the beginning but it gets repetitive with the character bloat (honestly way to many unneeded characters), the monster filler jobbers, the characters that should get more development don't get any.
It's not a bad story but the character bloat and the feeling as if the story is going slowly and not explaining much in terms of the world when you are 609 chapters deep is offputting. Most of the plot pre timeskip could have been compressed down to 300 chapters, maybe even 150 considering how under developed most characters are (like ace, the dude takes too many ls).
