Every windows was better than the last and it PEAK with Vista. Then it was all downhill with 7.
>oh but I'm an idiot zoomer/millennial and have heard from basedboys that vista was actually bad and 7 good
Nope. 7 is essentially a reskin of Vista. Operationally almost identical, slightly SLOWER and with many of the features STRIPPED OUT.
7 Was the literally the START of the dumbing down of the UI era. Up until Vista the UI become more and more beautiful. By vista it was a work of art, glassy but not obtrusive, futurisitic but not flashy, the perfect desktop UI.
>but then why did vista get hate
When it came out there were two major problems:
1. No driver support yet; and
2. It was shipped on laptops designed for windows xp
In the first case "upgrading" form windows XP to Vista almost always broke all your peripherals, joysticks, mice, keyboards, printers, sound cards and even graphics cards. Everyone was like "wow this is crap let's go back to XP".
In the second case vista was being shipped on THE SAME LAPTOPS as were being sold with XP. As you know windows XP runs fine with 256MB of ram. Yes megabytes. Vista? not so much. Again as a result any laptop you bought when vista came out barely even worked. Unuseable.
>but then why did people say 7 was good
But the time microsoft stripped down Vista, fired all the whites and hired all the pajeets years had passed. In these years new drivers were released (for vista) and better laptops were made (for vista). When 7 came along it made use of these newer drivers and laptops and so upgrading to 7 actually felt like an upgrade and all the retards were like "holy shit 7 is actually good!"
>tl;dr
