An electric blanket will save you tons on trying to heat your home and keep you warm in bed. It uses very little energy so electric bill will be low.
Basic canned foods are cheap and ready to eat right out of the can. You don't need to heat them unlike frozen foods or raw foods. Anything canned is already cooked for the most part.
With both warmth, food, and water, you can survive being in poverty for a long time. Don't neglect your hygiene or you could develop infections that hinder you. Health is a huge risk factor when you're poor. This should be your number one priority. Clip your nails and clean your hands often. Wash clothes regularly. Microbes and various parasites and mold will be your biggest enemy to fight next to starvation.
