What is it like to have truly mastered a skill? I'm talking atleast 5000-6000 hours of doing said thing. Besides shitposting, do you have any good skills? Anything from being really good at a gayme, to playing guitar, coding, whatever.

mastered? idk but i got higher ranked in league of legends than 99.5% of all ranked players. that's probably the closest to "mastered" i got but it's reeeeeeally far from even being an amateur pro player.
it felt weird because i didn't feel like i was that good even though i was better than basically everyone else in the world. i still knew i made a bunch of mistakes and i still saw everyone in my game still make a bunch of mistakes, just a lot less and not as bad mistakes as lower ranked people, but still a bunch of mistakes.

I have 4500 hours in Trackmania and i feel the same. I can shit on most people but i know of many that are much better than me and leave me in the dust. Kind of discouraging honestly.

Ye the free one. It's discouraging because i put a lot of time into it and there are many who are much better than me still. I feel like my effort has gone to nought. I probably have unrealistic expectations. I have expectations as if i were gifted, but i am not gifted.

I want to draw. I've probably played thousands of hours of piano and guitar thanks to my parent's urgings, and thousands more hours on martial arts, sports, etc, as a kid and I wish I had dedicated all that time to art.
