>>14442983 That's a bit extreme.
Some people go overboard and become hoarders.
My own arsenal is fairly modest. My "social" weapons I view as tools. Each one has a niche job that it fits best.
Hands down my fun guns are cowboy lever actions.
I have a Henry .22 and a Rossi stainless .357.
You don't know you always wanted a cowboy gun until you shoot one.
While fun, they too are tools. The Henry is good for small game out to about 50 meters. The Rossi can take deer out to about 100 meters with the right bullet,(although I wouldn't try and take a whitetail at that range with that round for sport hunting...if I'm subsistence hunting, ethics is a non-issue); what's nice is I can zap 10 rounds of .357 into a human torso at that range pretty rapidly, and nobody is going to volunteer to be dinged with a .357 out if a twenty inch barrel.
Plus, since it doesn't LOOK like an "assault rifle", Gay faggots and bored and bitter old ladies on a jury aren't likely to gasp and piddle themselves when the prosecutor holds it up in front of them.
The handguns are just tools I carry with me at all times.
What Euros don't understand about guns is that having as many of them as we do means our chances of having to use them is relatively small.
Nobody starts shit because I'd reckon 15-20% of the people in my area are packing heat at any time.
Crooks may be stupid, but they're not necessarily suicidal. This is why you rarely see thefts and rapes committed in and around police stations,(unless by policemen).
