every time "those people" get their own website, one of two things happens:
either it gets converted into every other website and they leave on their own because it's shitty, or they flat out get the plug pulled on the site.
in both scenarios they land back right here, the place where the glowies can guide and mark the opposition
Exhibit A: 8 chan is literally the thing you describe. It was a fantastic site that was like this websites old days, but look where it is now. Converted to a normal site AND plug pulled. Surprised there's not more dented heads back on this site since then.
