We have young shooting programs that usually go from 13 to 17 years old.
The army provide a SIG 550 for each kid which are kept at the range. It's pretty fun.
Before that age, and open to anybody, some village festivities will have laser shooting with the hardware usually mounted on real rifles.

In boarding schools they have cadet forces where they shoot small bore and then full bore under supervision from the Army. It used to happen in rural schools for everyone else, until the 1960s or so. I learned to shoot when I was ten, and I had my own .410 shotgun at 13. I’m not a boarding school kid though, my dad was always into shooting and got me into it from a young age

Part of the reason we do relatively well at shooting disciplines despite having retard level gun control is because the people into it are *really* into it and have been since they were kids. It’s a great skill and a brilliant way to spend a Sunday morning

Did this in 6th. Clay pidgeon shooting too. Didn't really see the point since it was a suburban school but in Wyoming you might have to defend the herd from wolves if ma and pa are making the three day trip to the general store.

Wyoming is nice and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. If you actually take issues with it because "hur le guns" you're brain dead. If anything learning safe conduct with a firearm is a good thing.

And so what if the bear attacks the herd, that bear probably had a tough life, accumulated rage of mistreatment and it was his only resort to better living conditions. Herds can be replaced, maybe the Chuds should learn to code if they don't want to deal with shooting innocent bears with assault rifles.
