I'll use the term VLP, for "valid living perspective". I would think anyone with any sense of self awareness whose thought about the nature of their self to a considerable extent would know that the VLP is something wholly different from the impulses in the brain. A robot could be created with a computer that does "everything" a human brain does or more, but it does not mean that any of the information is experienced from a perspective, like I'd assume it is for every life form.
By it's nature it is hard to determine if the "consciousness" or "soul" is something everyone has,because it cannot be experience by anyone but the person who has it,
