The lady that checked me in was so dead inside: there she was checking in a man who was potentially suffering from a heart attack, and yet there was no interest or worry in her eyes - she was entering information in at the same leisure and boredom as if she was doing her taxes.
Oddly enough, I found that comforting and a little funny, but my sense of humor is incredibly twisted. I imagine other folks may be a little distressed by her behavior.
