you, the reader, already know he made the idol. you've been told. god tells moses, on the mountain, THEY MADE THEMSELVES a calf. not BAAL ZOMG, not MAGIC-A CALF, but YOUR PEOPLE. so god has told moses this, and then aaron relates what happened to moses (22-24), and you are sitting there telling me that with all that context,
1.that after telling moses that he was forced to make the calf to worship,
2 that after telling moses that having been told to make the idol to worship, he says he collected the gold and put in the fire,
3.not telling mose EXACTLY how he forged the calf after he put the gold in the fire, means he is lying.
