>>14711753The plot of the game is basically that in every previous time loop, Yuuki fought the final boss with his original guild and they would lose because apparently Yui did something really stupid at the end of the original game (which never got a proper ending). In Re:Dive, the sequel and current game, this is supposed to change because Yuuki instead forms a new guild with Pecorine (daughter of the people who funded the game), Kokkoro (daughter of one of the game devs), and Carl (Mana's protege/grooming victim) who are all way more powerful than anyone from his original guild.
The anime is kind of weird in how it implies that they're somehow still heading towards failing this timeloop despite having an extremely overpowered team.
