Women have a certain sense of power in the sense that they are the gatekeepers to reproduction. That's the only reason people respect them. If they didn't need them to reproduce then they wouldn't respect them.
If artificial wombs are invented (and you'd need an egg from somewhere too) then anyone who uses those will have no reason to respect women.
