>>14761497No, I have not, he is similar to that guy who founded Hare Krishna. I view them both as spiritual scammers. Similar to how people in the West would view the founder of Scientology for example.
Generally Hinduism and Hindu Theology is not very open to foreigners and there aren't/weren't any scriptures originally.
That's why its' also pointless to argue with foreigners about hinduism, they usually don't have any clue and just think of it as a exotic adventure.
>>14761499Yes, but it's not like I had a choice. So yea I'm a part of the caste system and I don't mind. It's not as unjust as people in the West like to make it out to be. It's much more honest than being born in a poor family in the West and just suffering due to being poor and believing the illusion that you are equal.
>>14761504Well we have : scripture, religion, functioning judical system, water, food , electricity, internet etc.
That's quite a feat for a country with 1+ billion people that doesn't resort to extreme ideologies like communism or fascism. Also keep in mind India is surrounded by very hostile countries like China, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
>>14761500Untouchables don't exist. Different castes and subcastes exist. Subcastes are like ethnicities. Castes are like a larger description of what these subcastes have worked as and how they performed over a long time.
Most "untouchables" belong to the lower castes because they have historically performed simple jobs that don't require much complex work. Imagine a primitive black guy from an isolated island.
You can't really force him to do complex math but at the same time you don't want to kill him so you just give him simple tasks that he can do and leave it at that.
Whether or not you are untouchable depends on how other people treat you. So there isn't any difference in India to the West.
Most castes stick to their own not because they have the same caste, but because they lead similar lives.
