An apolitical Russian is neutral, maybe a bit sad about destruction the war has caused, he's also likely to be vocal about economic hardship because he doesn't understand why this war needs to exist.
A politically activated Russian has about 90% of becoming a sVinoreZ aficionado rooting for imminent eradication of Ukrainian statehood and considering Putin a cuck for not firebombing Lvov already, he's also willing to tolerate far more grievous economic conditions (and likely even a draft) as long as hohols keep dying.
