I was driving around with a Christian friend today and despite my best efforts, she wanted to talk about the Bible. So I did.
Among many hilarious conversations was one which went something like this:
>Christians know that living a good life and being kind is how God wants you to live. It's how you get into heaven.
<What about accepting Jesus?
>Oh yes, you cannot get into heaven without accepting Jesus. That's the ONLY way you get into heaven.
<Hmm. So if that's the only way to get into heaven, than being kind and good doesn't matter.
>Well, no. Not really.
