In the US McDonalds is franchised, some locations source beef from local farms so you actually get good burgers if you order Quarter Pounders which are cooked fresh. I feel bad for foreign countries with corporate only McDonald's because they get the slime burger meat all around.

Whether additives such as sugar, msg, onion powder, etc. were added to the products was crowdsourced through people in an attempt to make the most populist and affordable food possible. McDonald’s is peak American assembly line post-Fordian culture in this regard.

I generally like supporting local restaurants more, but I will not trash fast food as a concept at all.

I think it’s different in North America, mostly students and buoys people buy from McDonald’s and honestly is very cheap compared to the alternatives, a large Big Mac meal costs around £5.30 whilst in kfc it’s 8 pounds
