Are we using "the East" in the context of Orientalism which is an umbrella term for the cultures, nations and political systems of Asia? In which case we dont fit because we dont share any cultural, national, ethnicities or political systems of Asia.
Or are we using "the East" on a pure geographical basis, which also does not fit since we are not part of Asia and are a separate continent.
