I can’t think of an anime with a more perfect late night vibe and aesthetic than Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex.
But oh my god the peace meal storyline makes it so hard to watch consecutive episodes, I just don’t give a fuck about the squads daily fetch quests. It’s a damn shame because about 15 years ago I would be blown away with coming home off a bender and catching an episode on adult swim at 4am. I just finished forcing myself to watch the first 20 episodes and I don’t even know if it’s worth it to keep going.
What’s anime’s do you love the aesthetic/art style/vibe but don’t really love the story?
