I'm interested in which group today are the most direct descendants of Abraham. I've read theories that Ashkenazi Jews are the descendants of Khazars, a Turkic people that converted to Judaism. In that case, they wouldn't be part of Abraham's line at all.

You will be chosen if you put your hand up. When we talk about Jews as Gods "chosen people", God was using them as a tool for the salvation of the world. They aren't His favorite people, in fact, He believes that most of them are children of Satan, and He despises the Jews of the modern day.

There is another phrase in the bible that is more important. "Elect". To be of God's elect is to receive salvation and see what comes next after this life on the New Earth. That is what you want to be.

The Scythians weren't the only group to spread out from that location at that time. I think it would be safer to say the white race as a whole is the descendant children of Abraham, the chosen beneficiaries.

There are claims, but I certainly can't prove them, that Joseph of Arimathea's tin mines were the tin mines of Britain, and that Mary and her compatriots fled there after that crucifixion of Jesus, and that the most direct descendants of the line of David are (or until recently were) in Britain.
That could just be myth, however.
