1. Learn how cyclic letters are pronounced (PECTOPAH = RESTORAN). We have a shitload of loanwords.
2. Learn the suffixes of words, they're pretty standard and there's not that much of them. Example:
Eбa|ть — to fuck
Ёбa|pь — the man who fucks someone in question, boyfriend
Eбa|ный — 'fucked' in general sense.
Eбa|нyтый — crazy, fucked in the head.
It's the mot convoluted part of words.
3. Learn the prefixes, there's not than many of them but they combine really well.
Зa|ёбa|нный — tired, as in 'fucking tired'.
Пoд|зa|ёбa|нный — tired, but not as in 'fucking tired'.
Зa|eби|cь — fucking great.
There's also always an untranslatable mess such as 'хитpoвыeбaнный' though.
