I feel the same way, I'm so sick of playing boardgames with my friends.
They always introduce a new one whenever we hangout, then I have to pretend I read the rules in the dozens of random manuals strewn about the table.
All I see are pointless pieces of cardboard and plastic, it means nothing to me.
I'm not trying to sound edgy or superior in anyway, I just don't see the appeal of moving around little pieces and tracking imaginary points.
The setup and clean up is also a pain in the ass.
I tried explaining that I just don't find them interesting, the concept of boardgames in general in simply unappealing.
I even suggested not inviting me if they plan on playing them.
For some reason, they feel obligated to bring me along, which makes me feel bad because I'm dragging the fun down by failing to engage properly. (I really tried multiple times, but I just can't)
I'm always brushed off as a sore loser or whatever, but why would I care if I win or lose in something I was never interested in to begin with?
On the few rare occasions where I did win, I still felt nothing.
I also assume they let me win as some (insulting) way of trying to get me to like the game.
