All these protesters are, they have a vague sense of who the "bad guys" are, such as banks, white people, oil companies, etc and vent their unarticulated rage in shouts and marches. All middle-class and beyond, they're pseudo-christians, it's like a 19th century religious sect. I once knew a girl in a squat there. She was one of those "turn squats into social centres", and she was telling me how upset she was when all the bunting and equipment was destroyed or robbed. I held my tongue, but I don't think she learnt her lesson.
Overall a completely pozzed city unless you live in a handful of wealthy neighbourhoods.
