Food in Germany is ridiculously cheap for a 1st world county, even with the whole price hike because of the Ukraine war.
You can get 500gs of noodles/rice/potatoes/bread for 50ct-1€.
Locally grown/seasonal stuff like cabbage/leeks/tomatoes/corn is even cheaper if you buy it at the right time!
Because Brotzeit is such a big thing here, cold cuts and cheese are also very affordable.
For 20€/day, you can even splurge on meat.
If you wanna get drunk you can do that too: 38%alc. spirits can be had for 3.79€/700ml and beer can be had for as low as 19ct/500ml.
