If you're not going to carry a lot of stuff in the back and prefer to have a truck that's easy to drive, I'd suggest the GMC Canyon with a V6 engine.

If you want power and carry a lot of items, I'd suggest any of the big three trucks like the F150, Silverado/Sierra, or the Ram 1500.

makes a lot of sense, but it's a shame that there are no medium-sized trucks besides the Hilux and the African-built diesel-only Ford Ranger.

I mean seriously, we had Australian-built Ford Rangers that can be fully loaded with petrol engines a couple of years ago, I always lament on how I should've bought that instead of the Explorer despite it being a very trustworthy car.

Tundra is one of the most, if not THE most reliable, truck there is. Unfortunately, for what you're getting, you're paying too much and will not have a good fuel economy.

The Tundra has a worse interior quality than the likes of Ram 1500 and F150, but it makes up with having better off-road capabilities and amazing resale value as well as affordable parts.
