>>14942043The only Negro I knew named Jamaal was some light-skinned house-Negro. Very upright and well-to-do. Even if he didn't act White, he still didn't get sucked into the criminality of the dark-skinned Negro. He was a proud man, and despite his light-skin, not near mulatto by any means, but a lighter brown than most non-mulatto Negros, he was a fervent black supremacist and black nationalist.
He was not thuggish, but more of a classic 1960s style black nationalist, educated, and well spoken. Despite the popularity of the thuggish urban Negro movement in the 90s, this man was intelligent and righteous enough to avoid the short-sighted means of criminal pursuits and instead went to pursue education. If I remember correctly, he went to some Historically Black College, but I can't say what happened after that.
This is compared to dark-skinned Negros with names such as Kevin, Calvin, or David, all of whom were tempted by the criminal life and descended into drug dealing or robbery. Though these men were not inherently evil, they were short-sighted and desperate enough to pursue these vices, and I can only presume that such a life has taken a toll on all of these men.
I've never known anyone by the name of Tyrone, however, at least not for long enough to develop an understanding of the man and his character.
