well i guess "very" girly is generally an exaggeration. i do generally use watashi to refer to myself but that's definitely something that gets written of as incompetent rather than actually girly. i think i've also said atashi instead which is definitely hyperfeminine but at that point they'd probably assume i was just talking too fast and actually did say watashi
fortunately other than that it's relatively subtle and definitely the kind of thing they don't cover in classes until much much later anyway, so the professor is the only one who would have any chance of noticing
