As DNA research becomes more complete, it will be easier to see how peoples genetics connect to their ancestral past. For instance, I was linked very closely to the grave of the infant son of Philip Calvert the governor of Colonial Maryland, but not governor Calvert, after doing research on him and his family, I discovered that his second wife, the mother of that child was the sister of one of my female ancestors on my fathers side who I had discovered whilst making my own family tree, making that child a distant cousin centuries ago.
