then as they used the same cave walls over countless generations they shifted the images to record for propriety - 'this thing other than me was here or there'... 'we did this and that' ... 'this is what the outcome was'. Finally, the images became a ritualized way of escaping the cycle of death by sharing ones own life with the future.
so, it would seem our cave painting here on 4chan is in line with that.
We use posts to a.) self-affirm our own existence, b.) inform others of our existence, c.) share information worth sharing, d.) ritualize the process of communal information distribution as a form of linguistic and symbolic anchoring of our identites to our tribe at present, but also past and future; even in the face of the knowledge that the posts most often equate to sands blowing away in the winds of deep time.
