he was 5 seconds from death cause i just inflicted scarlet rot. using a different weapon cause that rapier takes too many hits for its speed. annoying fucker will not stop rolling away every 5 seconds

Try using torrent on the second phase, either stay on horseback or immediately call torrent to keep up with him, as long as you avoid his roll and he doesn't cast the fire orbs you should be able to handle it. Get used to the damage bosses do because it's going to get worse

There's an incantation behind a stonekey door inside the hero's tomb west of the fire giant arena, it boosts your fire resist by a ton to the point where his fire orbs deal only 30% damage to you, if you have trouble dealing with his fire attacks you could give this incantation a try

i use an erdtree incantation that boosts all elemental resistances, dont have the fire version yet. gonna start using +2 fire and +1 physical rings because my hp is too low when most of his attacks have one shot potential. i can three shot giants outside his arena with bolt of gransax but it does like 50 damage to him, probably a fromsoft oversight and my faith is 47 and gransax is plus 10

Maliketh & Loux for example are just dumb easy, you can just run 15 miles away, then bob in and poke him then just repeat. It's kind of just boring, doesn't feel like theres any advantage to actually trying to dodge their abilities. There was a much more delicate dance with some of the earlier bosses.

I like that hidden dragon boss though, still kind of struggling on him. Should probably stop using a +25 bastard sword and find a S scaling weapon. Don't know if I want to reroll Str/Int ruins great sword or Str/Faith the miracles look cool in this game
