>>15020088If it is read metaphorically rather than literal, the nothingness could be a reference to consciousness. At first there was no consciousness, then there was. Then the story of a man teaching the way to become conscious to others.
Imagine humans being feral as some other primate, then one gets consciousness, maybe by a train of thought or something. Then there were people one could give the lesson to, and others who did not receive this enlightenment.
You could create a book for those that were unable to reach enlightenment the bible with an easy tutorial on how to assimilate with the enlightened the 10 commandments.
Note that I am discerning between intelligence and being conscious. The primates I speak of may very well be intelligent, able to learn to read etc. but be total NPCs.
I also don't describe what enlightenment entails, is it total enlightenment as in able to understand that the other humans are just like you in the sense of them being alive, or is it something smaller.
By smaller you could say a modern equivalent would be the "enlightenment" of climate awareness, I don't agree with it but it's just an example. As when Jesus came to, there was probably nothing and then once enlightened there is something, whereas now it's a much more complex web of enlightenment that has a relatively small scale of impact on your life once the realization happens.
